Multiplication

We are working hard in our new math unit focusing on multiplication. We have created a chart to help us to solve problems. Students are practicing to solve multiplication questions using these strategies. Please review them with your child!

Today we started to work on showing our work in equal rows using an array. An array uses pictures grouped into equal rows. An array is a way to organize objects into rows of equal numbers. Students had to show an array that represents the number 12. Students also had to show their work and the number 12 in as many ways as they can.

Students are also using other strategies like skip counting. Skip counting helps us to learn how to multiply numbers.
